Alberobello & Puglia Italy Scanned Prints. Once again, a shame we did not have a digital camera when we traveled this part of Italy. Alberobello is 'truly' a very interesting place characterized by round homes topped with grey stone roofing. The style is called "Trullo". A striking thing to see. The style of construction is specific to the Itria Valley. The countryside is very dry, almost desert-like and is one of the poorest regions in Italy.
