Photos are Scanned Prints so resolution may be less than desired. We took a long road trip down to Croatia traveling throughout it's central highlands and on to the beautiful coastline. We did see some evidence of the remains of the war during the 1990's with burned and bombed out homes and buildings and a memorial to fallen UN Peacekeepers (see photo). It was amazing to see the bullet pocked marked structures and to know that a short while before there was a war in progress with tens of thousands killed and displaced. One contrast was seeing a burned out building with a billboard advertising a cell phone promotion. The coastal towns were highlights most notably Dubrovnik and Split. From Dubrovnik we put the car on a ferry and headed to Bari Italy.
